Thanks to your support, we raised £32,130 in the Christmas Challenge!

The Big Give’s #Christmas Challenge has been hugely successful for us this year. Thanks to your support, we raised over £32,000 to support the work of local people building peace around the world.

Between 27 November and 4 December, we reached and exceeded our target. Through the generosity of donations, as well as matched funding provided by Peace Direct supporters and the Big Give, our final total came to £32,130!

From all of us at Peace Direct, we say thank you to all who got involved – enabling us to train over 140 peacebuilders in 2019 to resolve conflict and rebuild lives around the world.

.The #ChristmasChallenge makes a massive difference to our work, allowing twice as many peacebuilders, like Inuwa (pictured below), to find their own solutions to conflict.

The Christmas Challenge may be over for this year, but it’s not too late to support our work! You can still help local people building peace around the world to gain skills and resources, by donating to Peace Direct at the link below.

 Support our work

What will donations be used for?

  • To support local peacebuilding organisations that train people to tackle the root causes of violence, and rebuild lives torn apart by war.
  • To increase the capacity and skills of local communities finding their own solutions to conflict.
  • To publicise and share this work as widely as we can – to the public, governments, aid agencies and the media.

Together, we can help local people to devise their own solutions to conflict and build peace – one person at a time.
