Despite growing evidence of the critical role that local people and organisations play in tackling violence and building sustainable peace, only a small fraction of total funding for peacebuilding supports local organisations.
This report summarises the findings of a research undertaken by Peace Direct and the Peace and Security Funders Group to highlight best practices when funding local groups and to articulate limitations and challenges.
