Dennis did it!  Dennis Livingstone decided to ‘give peace a chance’ earlier this month when he ran The Royal Parks Foundation Half Marathon to raise funds for Peace Direct. He was one of 16,000 people who took part this year in what was the biggest Royal Parks Foundation Half Marathon to date – and we’d like to say a big thank you. The £197 Dennis raised will go a long way in helping local people do extraordinary things – stop wars, save lives and heal broken communities.

The 13.1 mile route of the race is said to be the most beautiful half marathon, covering the spectacular sights of London and the beautiful Royal Parks. Runners not only pass through Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, St James’s Park and Green Park; they also have the chance to take in London’s historic landmarks including Buckingham Palace, the London Eye and the Houses of Parliament.

If you’d like to run for Peace Direct next year, raising funds for peacebuilders who risk their lives for peace in conflict areas, then sign up to our mailing list now and be the first to hear about 2014’s event, so you don’t miss out on your spot.

Alternatively, if you’d like to do a different challenge in the name of peace, then find a challenge, set up a JustGiving page and email [email protected] to let us know all about it.
