We know that some groups are disproportionately impacted by violence and conflict. Yet, they are also often excluded from peacebuilding, including peace talks, and rarely have the chance to lead conflict resolution efforts.

We support more inclusive peacebuilding, where women, young people and other marginalised groups can have their voices heard and their needs met.

For example, through our Youth Action for Peace Programme, we and our partners provide small, flexible grants to young peacebuilders in four different countries. These young peacebuilders are often overlooked by international donors because they have less experience, but we’ve seen them lead innovative, intersection initiatives that have had a huge positive impact on their communities.
