Peacebuilders from around the world took their message to British MPs in October with a series of meetings at the House of Commons. Their aim was to show the power of local peacebuilding in their own work, and persuade policy-makers that “local is beautiful”. This was reported in Parliament’s weekly magazine The House. Peace Direct aims to influence policies in the UK and elsewhere, to put local peacebuilders at the heart of decision-making and funding for conflict resolution.
