The U.S. government passed the Global Fragility Act in 2019, directing U.S. agencies to create a Global Fragility Strategy to assist conflict-affected countries.
The law mandates that the U.S. government create this strategy in consultation with local civil society and national and local governments, among other partners.
Peace Direct and the Alliance for Peacebuilding recently hosted a virtual consultation with local peacebuilders from around the world. The consultation took place on Platform4Dialogue, an online discussion platform created by Peace Direct.
