There’s just time to enter our annual competition for local peacebuilders, which closes on July 21. The winning organisations will receive an award of $4,000, plus an invitation to the prize-winners’ event in London in November.

The Tomorrow’s Peacebuilders competition aims to find the best emerging local peacebuilders worldwide. Last year we received 244 entries from 54 countries. The four winners worked on issues including child soldiers and the Lord’s Resistance Army in Uganda, narco-wars in Colombia, and Muslim-Christian prejudice in the Philippines.

Competition organiser Ruairi Nolan said:

last year’s competition demonstrated the breadth of innovative peacebuilding projects being implemented in all corners of the world. We are looking forward to more great entries this year, and are particularly excited to have teamed up with Build Peace 2015 to include a specific category and prize for groups working with technology for peacebuilding.

This year the winners will be announced on Armistice Day, 11 November 2014. To enter visit the competition page on Insight on Conflict.
