Happy Giving Tuesday!

It’s #GivingTuesday – a chance for you, your friends and your family to celebrate and give back to the people and causes close to your heart!

This season, we’re celebrating the tireless work of our local partners stopping wars and building peace – one person at a time. We’d love nothing more than for you to support their vital work around the world by donating to us this #GivingTuesday!

This Christmas, we’re aiming to raise enough funds to train 140 people to resist violence and build peace in their communities. But we need your help to do so.

Peace Direct is one of 589 charities taking part in The Big Give Christmas Challenge, the UK’s biggest annual online match funding campaign.

From 27 November to 4 December, every penny donated to Peace Direct via the Big Give will be doubled!

Please, donate now

.

Your gift could help our Congolese partners rescue child soldiers from the bush before reintegrating them back into their communities. It could allow our partner in Pakistan to train young adults in conflict prevention and peacebuilding. It could allow people like Inuwa (pictured below), to find their own solutions to conflict.

Whoever it reaches: a donation from you today will allow us to provide people with the tools and skills necessary to build lasting peace within their communities.

Peace is possible, and, with your support, we can build it together this holiday season!

What will the funds be used for?

  • To support local peacebuilding organisations that train people to tackle the root causes of violence, and rebuild lives.
  • To increase the capacity and skills of local communities finding their own solutions to conflict.
  • To publicise and share this work as widely as we can – to the public, governments, aid agencies and the media.

Together, we can enable local people to devise their own solutions to end conflict and build peace.
