In July the UK gave a world class performance at the Commonwealth Games, Peace Direct won the lottery with a Big Lottery Fund Grant of nearly half a million pounds – and now our project, Voice of Image, is only £885 away from hitting our crowdfunding target.

Because of the support from so many of our individual donors, we’ve raised an incredible £6,115 so far. With four more days to go, we are just £885 away from our £7,000 target. Can you help by contributing today?

With £7,000 we could buy cameras for 37 young people to photograph the different communities of their beautiful but suffering country. If we hit our target, our administration costs for running the campaign will be reduced by 60% – meaning more money for where it is most needed. This saving could pay for translating the talks and materials at seven touring exhibitions of their pictures.

Why? Because our partners in Sri Lanka are doing incredible things. Their work teaches young people how to use community photography to resolve tensions, non-violently, at the grassroots, and build peace for a better future.  They are innovatively doing this through the art of photography, capturing their lives and engaging with other communities. But lack of funding is standing in the way of the project helping even more young people.

Let’s break down this obstacle for them. Click here now and contribute anything from £5 to £,5000 to stop money being an obstacle and help us raise £885 by Monday 11 August.
