This month the globe-trotting French photographer Angelique Boudet is donating 10% of the profits from her latest show to Peace Direct. Her Seashores exhibition has opened in Marseille, the European Capital of Culture 2013 – and she was inspired by our co-founder Scilla Elworthy to let the exhibition make a difference.
“I’ve been inspired by the world on my photographic travels,” Angelique explains, “and I want to give something back. Peace Direct inspires me that change can happen.”
Angelique’s beautiful photography encapsulates the peace and simplicity of each country she visits, from India to Brazil. Her pictures are about restoring balance, reminding us of the importance of our actions to create a fairer world. Peace Direct inspires her with hope that this is happening.
