Changing unfair and discriminatory systems

The international humanitarian, peacebuilding and development sector is rooted in colonial history. This history still impacts how things are done today, and it undermines the ability of local peacebuilders to create lasting change for their communities

Over time, these connected histories have become disconnected, forgotten, and often systematically erased. This has led to the assumption that peacebuilding is historically and geographically neutral, which has made it harder for local peacebuilders to highlight the structural obstacles in their way.

We are dedicated to making systematic change in this sector. We work to decolonise, repair, and ultimately shift power towards global equality.

Since 2020, we have been working with our partners to do just that. Explore our efforts to decolonise.
