Calling policy-makers and professionals in the aid sector – we’ve just launched a quarterly newsletter reporting on innovative findings from our work with local peacebuilders. Peace Direct is a pioneer in this area and we often find that our local partners generate unusual and effective solutions to conflict using community-level mechanisms. These will be summarised in ‘Local Solutions to Conflict’, which is available free by email.

The first issue includes: locating peacebuilders in the Sahel; community-led justice mechanisms in eastern DR Congo; an international peacekeeping simulation in Sweden; and the second year of our global competition to find Tomorrow’s Peacebuilders.

If you’re interested in discussing these and other initiatives in more depth, or you want to access our expertise in local peacebuilding, please email us. The newsletter can be requested here.
