Peace Direct is thrilled to welcome our newest members to the US Board of Directors: Kehinde Togun and Benjamin Naimark-Rowse. Kehinde and Benjamin both have long track records in the peacebuilding and humanitarian spheres, and we are excited to have their leadership and support

Kehinde A Togun is the Managing Director of Public Engagement at Humanity United. He has led global democracy and governance programs for over 15 years. An experienced practitioner with a broad regional and programmatic portfolio, Kehinde’s career has been shaped by a commitment to democracy, security reform, and racial justice. On joining the Board, Togun shares, “I’ve long admired Peace Direct for its ability to convene and elevate the voices of local peacebuilders. I’m excited to join the US Board at this pivotal time as Peace Direct ramps up its efforts on the decolonization of aid.”

Ben Naimark-Rowse is a Topol Fellow in Nonviolent Resistance at Tufts University’s Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy (Boston, USA). His expertise on social movements and resourcing of movements draws on two decades of work with movements, scholars, NGOs, and donors. Ben shares, “I’ve seen many donors and NGOs talk about the importance of diversity, equity, and social justice. But it’s been refreshing and exciting to see Peace Direct put its money where its mouth is. I’m thrilled to join the Peace Direct US Board to help advance the work launched by our Race, Power, and Peacebuilding and Time to Decolonise Aid reports. I welcome anyone interested in joining us in this work to get in touch.”
