Last week, Pakistani peacebuilder Gulalai Ismail was interviewed on the BBC World Service flagship Outlook programme. Gulalai leads the project Aware Girls which fosters peace and counter-radicalisation in one of the most conservative regions in the country. Talking about the challenges she has faced working in Pakistan, Gulalai was invited to speak live on air about her life as a human rights activist, providing a lifeline for vulnerable members of society.
