Vahe is the Acting Managing Director for Peace Direct’s US Office. He leads the US Office’s policy advocacy engagement with the UN and the US, donor engagement and stewardship, and manages the day-to-day operations.
Previously, Vahe served as Peace Direct’s Director for US Policy where he led the US Office’s engagement with policymakers in the US government on youth, peace and security, atrocity prevention, decolonization, and locally led peacebuilding. His regional focuses are Africa, the Middle East, and Central and South Asia.
Prior to joining Peace Direct, Vahe worked with Search for Common Ground as a policy advocacy assistant with the Global Affairs and Partnerships department. He also has experience as a legislative intern working with Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., on Capitol Hill. Vahe has an M.A. in International Affairs from the American University of Paris and a B.A. in Politics from Saint Mary’s College of California. Vahe is also an ICAP 2023 Fellow.
