One Day One Choir – a global choral project for peace – was launched last year and managed to mobilise 100,000 singers in 44 countries (with no funding …) to step out and sing in their communities on World Peace Day, 21st September.

From meditative chant and school assemblies to community rock and full choral splendour people of all ages, inclinations, abilities and backgrounds raised their voices to sing for peace.

This year they are hoping you will join them in singing and also by helping to spread the word.  You don’t have to put on a concert or do a big gig – one appropriate song will do, you can even dedicate something you are already doing on or around Peace Day.

The aim is to mobilise singers to create the biggest ‘choir’ in the world, singing for peace in their communities and globally by 2018 (the centenary of the end of WW1).

You can find out more and sign up to sing at www.onedayonechoir.org and keep up with news on their facebook page which they would love you to like and share too.
