For more than 20 years, we have partnered with local people who are saving lives in the most challenging environments worldwide. We support these local peacebuilders to transform violence and fear into hope, by providing them with the funding, resources and global solidarity needed to make peace possible.
When war and conflict starts, life stops for ordinary people. Lives are shattered, and divisions grow between communities. The struggle to survive becomes all-consuming as access to basics like food, shelter, healthcare and education disappear, forcing people to endure unimaginable hardship every day. In this fractured reality, peace can feel hopeless.
We believe that together we can fix this by doing things differently. By transferring control to local peacebuilders who can speak truth to power, tackle the root causes of conflict and deliver justice for their communities.
We help local peacebuilding organisations in conflict zones to get the resources, training and safety they need to work. This builds solidarity and compassion between divided groups, increasing tolerance for diversity, respect for the rights of others, safety from physical harm, and access to essentials like food and water.
We speak up for those most affected by violence, such as women and youth, so they can lead efforts to build peace in their community.
