It can be hard to feel hopeful at the moment.
People are struggling to make ends meet in a world that has never felt so unsafe.
Which is why we’re proud to be a part of A Million Acts of Hope − a new campaign by hundreds of charities, community and faith groups to bring hope out into the open.
A Million Acts of Hope is a national invitation to celebrate the everyday acts of kindness, care and connection happening across the UK.
At a time when division can feel loud, we want to bring together all these everyday acts of hope and shine a light on the people and communities making them happen. The Week of Action will take place 13-20 May.

Most people want to live in strong, healthy, caring communities where everyone feels they belong. The Week of Action is about making that visible and bringing people from all backgrounds, and all walks of life, together.
Every day, millions of people across the UK organise events, run activities, and support each other. From coaching children’s sports to volunteering at food banks, community food growing, and helping neighbours—acts of hope happen all the time.
These actions rarely make headlines, but they represent the true spirit of Britain. Practical, caring, and quietly transformational.
A Million Acts of Hope will help share these stories – both locally and across the UK. By celebrating them all in one special week, we can make what are often unseen acts of hope more visible. This is especially important at a time when division can seem louder than unity.
Peace is built on hope. Will you take action this week?
