Seven ways we’re building peace in DRC

In eastern Congo, we support our partners to rebuild trust, understanding and community life throughout areas affected by conflict. Working with Centre Résolution Conflits (CRC), Fondation Chirezi (FOCHI) and the Beni Peace Forum (BPF), here are seven ways we are helping those affected by war to rebuild their communities and become more resilient to violence and instability.

Somali Peacebuilders Create Connections in the U.S.

War Stories. Peace Stories: a photo story

On April 11, 2018, Peace Direct was delighted to partner with Spectrum Media and the War Stories Peace Stories team for the War Stories Peace Stories Symposium in New York: a day of inspiring discussion on the role of the media in conflict reporting. The Stanley Foundation and the Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting were key partners for the event, which was also supported by Humanity United, the Carnegie Corporation, the Compton Foundation, and the Jubitz Family Foundation.

Youth Activists: U.S Students for Gun Reform

Following February’s tragic school shooting in Parkland, Florida, youth activists have been vocal in their stance against gun violence and calling for stricter gun laws.
