In November 2023, almost two thousand Majority World actors penned a letter to funders and convenors of international conferences on how to organise spaces and conversations on locally-led development.
This letter was born out of their lived experience and the frustration and humiliation of seeking access to a table that was allegedly designed for them and yet excluded them. The letter laid out the following five principles for convenors and funders who were committed to convening dialogues and spaces to operationalise locally-led development.
