War Prevention Works

'War Prevention Works: 50 stories of people resolving conflict' outlines 50 short accounts from all over the world of what ordinary people are doing to stop conflict and killing - armed only with integrity, stamina and courage. These stories show how powerful non-violence can be.

The stories are divided into five chapters, listed below, the titles of which refer to the stage of the conflict at the time of involvement by the organisation profiled.

Chapter Two - Escalating Violence
