GILL HICKS, AMBASSADOR FOR PEACE

Gill Hicks was the last person to be rescued from her train in the London bombings of 7th July 2005. Since September 2006 she has been a passionate ambassador for Peace Direct.

Gill has taken part in events promoting peace at all levels around the world - from classroom debates and community gatherings to national and international forums and numerous media appearances.

We've made two short films with Gill to mark the UN Day of Peace which have been seen by thousands of people around the world and profiled on the Oprah Winfrey Show.
