FINANCE
Our Annual Reports and Financial Statements
Our purpose is to fund and promote local peacebuilding.
We aim both to put local peacebuilding at the heart of all government strategies to deal with conflict, and to build a worldwide public supporter base for local peacebuilding. We see the two things as complementary – government strategies will always carry great weight, but public support can put pressure on governments and also fund in ways that Governments cannot – for example, flexibly, rapidly and on a small scale.
We measure our progress in four key areas:
- Fund local peacebuilding and demonstrate its effectiveness in saving lives, and rebuilding trust;
- Make it easy for people with power and resources to find out about local peacebuilding;
- Get the public on board; and
- Create structures that link local peacebuilders into larger groupings, making them more fundable to donors.
