Peace Direct Does Glastonbury

We were quite looking forward to Glastonbury - camping under the stars, live music, balmy summer evenings, and the chance to introduce Peace Direct to a whole new audience. Sadly things didn't turn out quite as we imagined...

Several storms of torrential rain later, a stolen camera, a flooded tent, sodden clothes, overflowing toilets, a broken stall table and fields of knee deep mud we were starting to revaluate our initial optimism. At times emotionally challenging at others downright demoralizing we owe a huge debt of thanks to all the lovely people who stopped by to enthuse about our work. Thanks to everyone who sent a peace postcard to a loved one, pledged a direct debit, signed up for practical peace, or added their comments to our peace message board. Your collective positivity and enthusiasm provided us with metaphorical sunshine in days of gloom!
