We are thrilled and honoured to welcome Mr Le Carré, especially as he has visited eastern Congo and seen the kind of war damage that our peacebuilders there are working to restore. His support for our approach is a powerful endorsement for locally led peacebuilding.

In the broadcast, Mr Le Carré tells the story of Magana, a mother of seven children in war-torn Congo. One day she finds her village has been surrounded by armed rebel soldiers. Their only hope lies in peacebuilder Flory Kazingufu….

Hearing that a local story has been put on BBC gives us a breakthrough and gears up our work. Now we know that local will never remain local and for locals only, but an inspiration for the whole world. Thank you for this international audience you have given us. Aksanti, thanks in Swahili. - Flory Kazingufu
