Database and Supporter AssistantMain Purpose
To assist the Individual Giving Manager in all his/her tasks, including gift processing and supporter care duties, and to maintain Peace Direct’s database of political and media contacts.
A. Database
You will maintain a Microsoft Access database of contacts ensuring all contacts are still relevant as well as researching like minded organisations to find appropriate new contacts. Target to establish a database of 3,000 contacts in the next twelve months.
B. Supporters
With support from the Individual Giving Manager you will be responsible for all day-to-day communication with Peace Direct’s supporters. You will process and fulfil all gifts on the Raisers Edge database, ensuring all payments are appropriately coded. You will deal with web submissions and all supporter enquiries and must be passionate about cultivating warm and transparent relationships with our donors.
C. Insight on Conflict
You will be responsible for uploading content about peacebuilders worldwide onto the Insight on Conflict website.
D. Administration
You will lead on all office administration tasks including answering the phones, sorting and dispatching the post and ordering stationery.
Person Specification
- Computer savvy, with the ability to pick up new IT skills quickly
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Well organised, systematic and reliable
- Extremely good attention to detail
- Able to juggle competing priorities
- Enthusiasm, desire to learn
- Willingness to commit to work for 12 months
Remuneration
Full time: £14, 000 p.a.
