That's around 100 times greater than the UK's peacekeeping budget: £370 million.

This year, the UK's two Conflict Prevention Pools, which support conflict prevention and management and some post-conflict resolution, shared only £137 million between them.

The RAF has already taken delivery of 55 new Eurofighter Typhoons and the British government has 177 more on order. Each Eurofighter Typhoon costs £80 million.

People are currently being killed in 29 armed conflicts in different parts of the world.

32% of the money which the UK allocates to research and development goes to the arms industry. The British government has been providing subsidies to arms exporters of over £400 million per year.
