HOW YOU CAN FUND

You can choose to support Peace Direct as an organisation, helping us to grow and extend our influence, or support an individual initiative. To support Peace Direct as an organisation, click here. Whatever the size of your contribution, it means we are expanding our support base among the public, which is a key goal of Peace Direct.

For a minimum of £10/month - the price of a weekly drink in the pub - you can become a Champion, joining the support team of an overseas project. You will hear regular news from your project, and be able to send them messages to support. To look at our current Champions projects, click here. If you have a group with a particular interest in a conflict area, we are happy to look for a Champions project for your group to support. For example, the Women of Cali were initially sponsored by the Primrose Hill Community Association.

If you are holding a fund-raising event, or able to make a larger donation, we are happy to allocate the proceeds to a project of your choice. Our work in Sudan was made possible by an individual donation of £10,000, which meant we could take risks and initiate the project without being certain what the outcome would be. That £10,000 enabled the Collaborative for Peace in Sudan, a North/South association of peacebuilders, the first of its kind, to be born.

A corporate donation from Data Connection enabled us to launch the Kenya Rapid Response Fund, which has since raised $8,000 in local contributions to set alongside our funding.

Please contact Carolyn Hayman carolyn@peacedirect.org if you would like to discuss funding a particular area or type of work.
